The rest of the schedule won't be out until late Wednesday afternoon, but now the Cardinals know where they will be Week 1 of the regular season -- and it isn't State Farm Stadium.
It's Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
With CBS and Fox getting the chance to announce Wednesday morning all the Week 1 games on their air, it's known that the Cardinals playing at the Titans on the road will be Kyler Murray and company's first test in 2021. It's the first time the Cardinals have played in Tennessee since a trip in 2013, Bruce Arians' first season, when they escaped with a 37-34 overtime win after a late rally by the Ryan Fitzpatrick-led Titans.
The matchup will allow new Cardinals cornerback Malcolm Butler to face his former team in the first game of the season. The Titans went 11-5 last season, winning the AFC South before losing to the Ravens in a Wild Card playoff game.
The full schedule will be out at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on azcardinals.com and the team's social channels, and then at 5 p.m. during a full schedule show airing on NFL Network. Single-game tickets will go on sale at that point at www.azcardinals.com/gametix.
The Athletic reported Tuesday that while the NFL will be holding a pair of London games in 2021 (hosted by the Falcons and the Jaguars -- with the Cards scheduled to visit the Jags at some point this season) the fact Mexico is still struggling with COVID means there will not be a game in Mexico this season. That means the Cardinals will not be "hosting" a game in Mexico City this year, after their game there last year was scotched because of the pandemic.
