Jonah Williams was back on the offensive line Sunday, although the line play -- and the blocking overall -- was not nearly as good as it had been the last time Williams played back in Week 1 at Buffalo prior to his injury.
"We just have to do a good job in pass-pro," coach Jonathan Gannon said after the Seattle loss. "It's not just the offense, the offensive line. I think it's the route detail of when guys have to get open, things of that nature. That's all 11 (players). So we'll get back at it. We'll rebound from it."
Williams played all 58 offensive snaps with the rest of the line. Not that Pro Football Focus grades are all that, but Williams actually graded out better than average in his first game back (and PFF didn't have any of the lineman having horrible grades) and Gannon noted the team had to "make sure we're not playing left-handed" by getting a more consistent running game going. (That too comes down to blocking and opening holes, of course.)
"Nothing that we weren't prepared for, but I think it just came down to execution for us," Williams said.
The line has been too good this season to not have a bounceback game in Minnesota.
As for the rest of the offense and their snaps, tight end Trey McBride -- the best player on offense in Seattle -- played all but two snaps. Tip Reiman (20) and Elijah Higgins (18) got a little less work than they had been, Reiman especially.
Marvin Harrison Jr. played 55 snaps, with Michael Wilson (and his amazing catch) getting 48. Zay Jones had 22 snaps (although he was not targeted), with Greg Dortch in for 12 and Zach Pascal 1.
At running back, James Conner had 40, with Trey Benson and Emari Demercado at 9 each.
Safety Budda Baker and linebacker Kyzir White were the only defensive members of the 100 percent club (64), although rookie safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson was at 62. The rest of the secondary included Sean Murphy-Bunting (56), Garrett Williams (47), Starling Thomas V (42), Max Melton (28), Joey Blount (5) and Kei'Trel Clark (2).
With White at inside linebacker were Mack Wilson Sr. (55), Owen Pappoe (3) and Krys Barnes (3). Outside linebacker started with Zaven Collins (35), who had an excellent game. Baron Browning (34) was close behind, with Jesse Luketa (22), Victor Dimukeje (20) and Xavier Thomas (15).
On the defensive line, L.J. Collier (43), Dante Stills (35), Roy Lopez (31), Naquan Jones (23), and Khyiris Tonga (15).
