Marvin Harrison Jr. got hurt, Zay Jones wasn't made active yet and Chris Moore was on the practice squad and unavailable, so the moment lined up for rookie wideout Xavier Weaver on Sunday in Green Bay.
Weaver, active for the first time in his career, ended up playing 41 offensive snaps in the game, second in the wideout corps to only Michael Wilson's 55 (of 58 offensive snaps). Weaver was only targeted once, a play that looked open for a touchdown but Weaver didn't have much of a chance on a high pass from QB Kyler Murray.
Harrison only played eight snaps before he left the game, ultimately the same amount of snaps Zach Pascal played at receiver. Greg Dortch was in for 36.
At running back, James Conner played a season-low 16 snaps, a combination of some issue he had during the game and sitting out late when the game was decided. Emari Demercado led the running backs with 31 snaps, and Trey Benson -- after not getting any offensive work the week before -- played 11.
At tight end, Trey McBride, with his best statistical game of the season, was in for 54 of 58 snaps. Elijah Higgins played 18 and Tip Reiman 12. On the offensive line, left guard Evan Brown played only 40 snaps after hurting his ankle and right guard Trystan Colon played 53 snaps. Rookie Isaiah Adams played the other five for Colon, but eventually grabbed the extra 18 from Brown as well.
On defense, rookie safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson did not play a defensive snap after playing well the week before while cornerback Garrett Williams was out. Williams was back against the Packers, totaling 54 of 73 snaps. In the secondary, safeties Budda Baker and Jalen Thompson each went 100 percent in the game, with cornerbacks Sean Murphy-Bunting (50) and Max Melton (48) also in the mix.
Inside linebacker Kyzir White was limited to 21 snaps with a knee injury, so Mack Wilson Sr. (67) and Krys Barnes (54) leading things. Owen Pappoe (8) got limited work. No outside linebackers were at 50 percent of the snaps, with Zaven Collins (35), Julian Okwara (27), Dennis Gardeck (24) and Jesse Luketa (20).
Bilal Nichols' stinger impacted the defensive line rotation. Nichols was limited to 17 snaps. L.J. Collier led the group with 49, followed by Dante Stills (39), Roy Lopez (38), Naquan Jones (32) and Khyiris Tonga (26).
