One of the benefits of adding Mack Wilson Sr. to the roster this offseason was not only to have another inside linebacker to add to Kyzir White but also to have someone versatile to move around. Even Wilson wondered aloud if the might play more snaps on the edge once Dennis Gardeck went down with his knee injury last week.
Wilson indeed played a season-high 44 snaps on the edge/defensive line in Miami, according to Pro Football Focus. But it is notable that Wilson has played the majority of his snaps there all season, with 33 there against the Chargers and 41 against the Packers. On the season, PFF has Wilson at 230 edge/DL snaps, and 130 in the box (and 54 lined up as the slot corner.)
Wilson had 54 snaps against the Dolphins total, out of 65 possible. White, as usual, was a 100 percenter, as were both starting cornerbacks Starling Thomas V and rookie Max Melton (who got picked on for a while by the Dolphins) and safeties Budda Baker and Jalen Thompson.
Cornerback Garrett Williams (56) also played a significant amount in the secondary, while Rabbit Taylor-Demerson (6) did not.
On the defensive line, Naquan Jones (15) missed a large part of the game with a thigh injury. L.J. Collier (39) led the way, with Khyiris Tonga (a season-high 38), Dante Stills (36) and Ben Stille (33) splitting up most of the work.
At outside linebacker -- aside from Wilson -- Zaven Collins (33), Victor Dimukeje (20), Julian Okwara (16), Jesse Luketa (15) and Xavier Thomas (13) all got to double-digits. The same can't be said for reserve inside linebackers Krys Barnes (9) and Owen Pappoe (8).
His statistics didn't pop, but James Conner continued to get the vast majority of the running back work with 53 of 66 snaps. Trey Benson (4) and Emari Demercado (8) got a little work. At wide receiver, Marvin Harrison Jr. (60) played nearly the whole game, followed by Michael Wilson (46, briefly left late with an injury issue but returned and had key block on Kyler Murray big third-down run), Greg Dortch (25), Zay Jones (17, and his first Cardinals reception), and Zach Pascal (2).
On National Tight Ends Day, Trey McBride really wanted to be out there (64 snaps), with Tip Reiman (29) and Elijah Higgins (19) contributing. On the offensive line, Trystan Colon (40) and Isaiah Adams (26) continued to split the reps at guard.
