Kyler Murray continues to ascend as a quarterback, and he continues to ascend on the NFL Network's Top 100 list as well, after he came in at No. 39 during Sunday's countdown, on a vote from his peers.
Murray was 90th after his rookie season, when he was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Now, after a sophomore year in which he was voted into the Pro Bowl, he jumped to No. 39 on the list. He becomes the second Cardinal named, after J.J. Watt showed up at No. 66.
Safety Budda Baker and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins are also expected to show up at some point. It seems unlikely that Larry Fitzgerald, who has been on the top 100 list every year of its existence, will make an appearance as his career looks more and more like it is over.
Murray improved on all of his stats in Year 2, throwing for 3,971 yards and 26 touchdowns (with 12 interceptions) on 67.2 percent completions, and adding 819 yards rushing and 11 more touchdowns, gaining 6.2 yards a carry.
